Ernestine Hess Lindsey

(1928-2022)

Ernestine Hess Lindsey, age 93, of Catoosa, Okla., formerly of Forrest City, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, at the Franciscan Villa Nursing Home in Broken Arrow, Okla.

Mrs. Lindsey was born Jan. 27, 1928, in Bonanza, Ark., and was the daughter of Edward Joseph Hess and Anna Marie Bieker Hess. She lived in Forrest City most of her life, had been an employee of Woodruff Electric, and was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.

Mrs. Lindsey married Donald Lindsey and he preceded her in death in 2001.

She is survived by two sons, Don Lindsey of Catoosa, Okla., and David Lindsey and wife, Dana, of Inola, Okla.; three daughters, Diane Lindsey of Broken Arrow, Doris Jean Lindsey of Conway and Debbie Frizzell and husband, Neal, of Cave Springs; one brother, Tony Hess of Blytheville; one sister, Jeanette Lisko of Morgan; six grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.

A Rosary will be held Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022, at 6 p.m., at Stevens Funeral Home, with visitation to follow until 8 p.m.

Services for Mrs. Lindsey will be held at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 31, 2022, with burial in Hughes Cemetery.
